ABOUT

Made by Mice started after many years of owning and running a creative business; I began to enjoy the slow and quiet process of needle felting and textile art at my studio, located in Otford, Kent.

I love the process of creating and the felt allows me to rework to get exactly the look and feel that I want.

No two pieces are ever the same, my sculptures are fun, quirky and individual and will hopefully make you smile!

Inspiration comes from many things, including a box of old boot brushes, which were just too good to throw away! The character of each woolfelted sculpture forms around the story of the vintage objects and materials I use, allowing the natural wear and age to enhance every composition.

Being environmentally and ethically conscious, I use many natural and recycled elements within my work; sourcing bits of bark, leaf or twig direct from the garden, using natural British wool and sourcing beautiful vintage materials that I've found at markets or my own supplies collected over the years.
